General Information Pymatuning Yacht Club and more information http://www.pymatuningyachtclub.com/ The Ohio State campground is about 15 to 20 minutes north of PYC. It’s a very nice campground and they also have Yurts available. Good hot showers and easy on the bugs. There are cabins another 5 minutes north of there too. You can check them out at Ohio State Parks website and make reservations there as well. http://parks.ohiodnr.gov/pymatuning Pennsylvania State campgrounds are equally as close. http://www.dcnr.state.pa.us/stateparks/findapark/pymatuning/index.htm Some of us have already reserved cabins at the Pymatuning State Park (PA) Jamestown modern cabin site: http://www.dcnr.state.pa.us/cs/groups/public/documents/document/dcnr_003212.pdf Andover is about 10 minutes away from this campground and has a grocery (Sparkle market) and several restaurants although they aren’t open late with the exception of McDonalds and the Chinese restaurant and the pizza place. The Chinese is really very good if you like that. But the Andover Diner is definitely worth the stop for a breakfast or lunch for sure. Order carefully as they are known for legendary large portions. http://www.andovervillage.com/ The Jamestown area restaurants quite good and very reasonable. https://www.tripadvisor.com/Tourism-g52894-Jamestown_Pocono_Mountains_Region_Pennsylvania-Vacations.html https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=jamestown+pa+restaurants Try out AirBNB in this area and you may find a bunch of nice places including some horse farms not too far away for under a hundred a night. |
